The past few days have been busy, stressful and frustrating! Every time Chris makes any small improvements he has a big set back. He was becoming more alert and interacting by facial expressions. We were happy to see he was interacting more and then the infection set into his blood. He spent days just staring at the ceiling. His heart began to race. The medicine worked farely quick to bring the heart rate back down. Next came the blood pressure issues. It starting dropping low. This landed him in the ICU.
Today has been a better day. His blood pressure is staying up, made it through dialysis without any issues, and is becoming more alert. Hopefully he will continue to improve. In the last six months I’ve used the word “hopefully” more than I have in my entire life. I’m not complaining because he is still with us!
